What is the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer labels?

Direct thermal labels use heat-sensitive paper and require no ribbon — ideal for short-term use like shipping labels and receipts. Thermal transfer labels use a ribbon to print and are more durable, making them suitable for long-term applications like product labeling, asset tracking, and warehouse use.

Which label size is right for shipping?

The most common shipping label size is 100x150mm (4x6 inches), compatible with most courier and logistics systems including Aramex, DHL, and FedEx.

Are your labels compatible with Zebra , peridot printers?

Yes, our label rolls are compatible with Zebra, Peridot, and most major thermal printer brands.

How many stickers are in a roll?

It depends on the label size. For example, 100x150mm rolls contain 500 stickers, while smaller sizes like 50x25mm contain 1000 stickers per roll.

What is the difference between wax and resin ribbons?

Wax ribbons are best for paper-based labels and everyday printing. Resin ribbons are more durable and designed for synthetic or plastic labels that need to withstand heat, chemicals, or outdoor conditions.

Which ribbon should I use for plastic or synthetic labels?

Use a resin ribbon for plastic or synthetic label materials. Our Peridot Standard Resin Ribbons are specifically designed for this purpose.

What core size do your ribbons use?

Our desktop ribbons use a 1/2-inch (12.5mm) core, and industrial ribbons use a 1-inch (25mm) core — compatible with Zebra, Peridot, and similar printers.

The Peridot D12B is our most popular shipping label printer — compact, Bluetooth-enabled, and prints at 203dpi. It's ideal for e-commerce sellers and courier businesses.

Do your printers work with Bluetooth and USB?

Yes, most Peridot printers support both Bluetooth and USB connectivity, making them easy to use with phones, tablets, and computers.

What is the print resolution of your barcode printers?

Our printers range from 203dpi (standard) to 300dpi (high resolution). The Peridot PD61B offers 300dpi for sharp, detailed barcode printing.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL)

What are electronic shelf labels?

Electronic shelf labels (ESL) are digital price tags used in retail stores to display product prices and information. They update wirelessly, eliminating the need to manually replace paper price tags.

How do ESL labels connect and update?

Our ESL systems use 2.4G wireless technology via a base station. Prices and product info can be updated remotely in real time from a central system.

Are your ESL labels suitable for freezer environments?

Yes, we offer a freezer-rated ESL model (2.66 inch) specifically designed for cold storage and supermarket freezer aisles.

What are IATA compliant labels?

IATA compliant labels meet the International Air Transport Association standards for air freight shipments. Our Live Animals and Limited Quantity labels are IATA compliant and ready for use in air cargo.

What is the difference between ADR and IMDG labels?

ADR labels are for road transport of dangerous goods, while IMDG labels are for sea/maritime transport. We offer limited quantity labels compliant with both standards.
